Another road to walk down...

Always another road to walk down
more shop fronts displaying their goods
kids hanging out on street corners…
frightening the elderly as they rush home to make a cup of tea
but the kids don't know…
they have nowhere else to go
and no one else to scare off into the shadows
they laugh and joke about nothing that makes sense
they are just kids... being kids
but the elderly rush on by…
hoping not to be seen
not heard…
but there is always another road to walk down…
