Poetic-Verses

Art for Art sake.

I  seemed to awaken in me a taste for the arts
Its not just sketching and painting,
Its all going a little to far.

From photographs to collages'
And whittling wood with a knife,
To painting door and laminated floors
And nude abstract of my wife.

I have painted watering cans and flowers,
That have died before there time;
Forrest scenes that are to green,
Some weird adult nursery rhymes.

You see I wish I had started earlier than this
When I look at contemporary art today;
It looks to me that they are taking the piss,
In there own inimitable way;

Well maybe there are some out there
Who can get away with it any how,
 Can anyone buy formaldehyde ,
And toss in a big fat cow?

You see I "get" the "unmade bed",
And the gallery sac chi has,
I also get Gilbert and George ,
For  there style and there class.

I also get "PICASSO" ,and the pop stuff by "DINE",
But medicine cabinets for millions and jillions;
Now that's an outrages crime;
