Poetic-Verses
Liverpool bay
song..written Jan 08.
Mist rolling in from the river,
cold wind blows it all away.
Golden sun will open its heart up ,
Shine its light over Liverpool bay.
Not many ships come around here now,
Seamen and dockers have faded away
No one ever strolls down lime street,
To catch the spirit of Maggie may;
cold winds blow across the Mersey,
bridge once moved up and down withe the tide.
the birds stand tall on the river ,
it fills my heart with pride.
If Maggie was around here now .
She would look at this city in Awe!
There are no more grimy building,
no more children starving and poor,
still the cold wind blows across the Mersey.
bridge once moved up and down with the tides;
The birds stand tall on the river,
It fills my heart with pride.
it don't matter if your in Gladys street,
On the Kop or playing away ,
The golden sun will open its heart up ,
Shine its light on Liverpool bay
