footprints in the earth.....

When death is a Stranger

Memories of the burial
Dreams wished not to return
The bier brought
From the hills
Twisting my resolve
Into a vengeful hilt
Restrain and rage
Walking bitterness
Eventually
You heard my plea
No more did I decline
Reluctant nothing amiss
You answered
Your company my grudge
A welcome foe.
