footprints in the earth.....

And God sent the woman

On the twenty second day
The mirage became a
River
And it flowed to where I
Stood
Images danced whirled in
Turn
The dancing drums began in
A dream
Vivid colours trance-like
Had I understood

I drifted between the sequence
Attuned to fate
Insanely I was no stranger
The paths so unfamiliar
Became cross-roads of will
Rhythms of another world

I turned to grasp
And found relief
Retreating a trail left
Patch marks of memory,
Where once visited
Footprints not for a
While
