Strangely
He now wishes to live,
For love, enjoyment or pride,
Definitely not
A night held hostage,
His will gave way,
This is fear and death,
And loss,
The face of hell
Grim-faced realization
Depression is a burden
Whittled away
Through the phases,
Sounds of the night
The earth is home
Death is a captor
Suspended exile
The solace of the saints
Is a return to home
Not pride of intercession
The obliteration of evil
Obsolescence of prayers
bitterness,
Kneeling in sweat, recrimination
And forgiveness,
Love planted a tree
Somewhere
With fruit fully blessed
Life said
Taste, banish fear
And live forever
