Years ago she would be birthed
A nation young upon our Earth
By men and women giving their all
For country first, all heard her call
Revolution would bring new life for
Unknown to those reaching her shores
Far too many to count at times
Yet welcome them, this too they'd find
O beautiful, America, she would be named
Freedom now won, freedom man gained
A foot upon her ground that gave
Your break today and best she saves
There are those who seem to be
Angry, hateful, unhappy
Yet look not where they once came from
Once poor, better with more to come
No slave of one desperate to breathe
With eyes their own, they'd truly see
Although not perfect, they now are free
To Become all they dream to be
She cares for those who seek a need
To some effect, to some degree
She does and has for quite some time
Balanced her scales, justice not blind
America opened her doors
Unlike, unseen to rich and poor
Yet still today it's not enough
To some that say she is unjust
Unjust? Whys that? All still are free
To come and go as they so please
Yet still complain, while they're spoon fed
Welfare provided where needs are met
How bad some had it where they came from
How good it seems, their hate not done
Will seek to crush all we've become
A melting pot for everyone
America, she wears the red
Today with Blue maybe you read
How white merged with two great colors
Bringing world hope, America my brother
