I'm Just Thinking
The what if's of life are very interesting to ponder;
I sit here in silence as through my memories I wander.
What if's? pop up time and time again as I explore;
Destiny, chance, and circumstance; it is hard to ignore.
Like traveling upstream to the source of mighty rivers;
What are the answers that this search ultimately delivers.
Multiple choices each moment of our life are always present;
Consistency of wisdom seems to make my life more pleasant.
Without my life careening to the left or to the right;
Staying on course, traveling smoothly, I try not to fight.
Using wisdom as well as instinct, guided by the unknown;
Looking back, I can now see the direction I have grown.
I see the choices made, I begin to look inside and know;
I'm just thinking and watching my thought streams flow.
