"for the body of themes"
tears in taboo,
sweet laments
flow into the scent of skin.
within the touch
of thin, white paper
to stained water,
is the footprint
of an emotion.
heightened by
one drop
of black ink,
then meticulously pressed
against the throat's hallow.
within that first concave bowl
began a life's obsession:
a canvas for the body of themes.
