The Christian Tree

The Christian Tree
Photobucket
Denominations have branched out
So thick the tree is full.
Its foliage dons so many doctrines
It's more like push and pull.

Some push you to sow in their spot...
Some pull you toward some other.
Why can't the Christian family
Love each sister and each brother?

Our disagreements give the devil
More evils seeds to plant.
He celebrates our every fight...
Loves it when we rave and rant!

If we could disagree without
This self-righteous attitude.
Because not everyone of us is right...
To assume we are is rude.

The Baptist think the Pentecostals
Have gone off the deeper end.
The Catholics and the Lutherans
Only trust in their set trend.

The Methodists, Presbyterians...
Oh, the list is very long.
Each claiming to be Christian...
Each thinking the rest wrong.

It is no wonder that the world
Doesn't place much faith in us.
When we're putting down each other
Witnessing just bit the dust.

Don't you think that all of us
Have gleaned nuggets of gold?
Why don't we share our treasures
If we're all sheep of the fold?

If Jesus is the center
Of our faith as He should be
Then on this fact and it alone
Should we share the Christian Tree.

 Lovingly Presented,

"Neither pray I for these alone,
but for them also which should
believe on Me through their Word.

That they all may be One as You,
Father, are in Me and I in You,
that they also may be One in Us
that the world may believe that
You have sent Me.

And the glory which You gave Me
I have given them that they may
be One even as We are One.

I in them and You in Me, that they
be made perfect in One,and that the
world may know that You have sent
Me, and have loved them as You have
loved Me." John 17:20-23
