 T  G   I    F
Finally here, the weekend now
Starts for most where wiped are brows
Of sweat and toil, of stress today
It's time to start and have our way

Call ahead and tell my bride
It's time for us to take a ride
Down the shore to just relax
Enjoy reprieve on body tasked

My mind flies South for the weekend
If just two days is all we'll spend
It's now time to soul attend

The stress factor is common ground
As work is not a fun playground
But these two days Will bring us breath
This dead man walking who escaped death

I'll walk the beach barefoot in sand
Thanking dear GOD who gave this man
My wife and kids, my health, His love
His sustenance for me thought of

My job like most is the launch pad
Where some things go both good and bad
But in the end my due will come
Payday, Friday the day is won

I'll spend my time and listen to
My children loved precious and few
Will bring back what eluded us
A smile all theirs for me a must

T G I F someone will say
Thank God It's Friday and that's OK
But thank we will for more than this
Two days with those I call my bliss

Family... Make the most of your time with them
