I looked up and a white cloud grinning I saw
Took out a pen and paper began to draw
But I saw sadness a cloud that cried
And it had to be that happy words were denied
From reality of the cloud out floated a plane
I thought is this madness am I going insane
But then an Eagle chased by crows fly by
And I thought a sign of evil and began to cry
But on a tree limb my friend the hummingbird came
And in the robins nest new birth a peeping refrain
I heard someone say in the distance this day is boring
And from his bedroom fast asleep Grandpa was snoring
Life you see really is what you and I want it to be
Grandma reads a book dreams of things far across the sea
Soon there are dark clouds bring on the rain
Grandpa comes from his nap taking a walk with his cane
Oh another day for Grandma and me we look forward to tomorrow
And I think there is only sadness if you fill your heart with sorrow
