MORNING  SONG

THIS MORNING, A LITTLE BIRD SANG TO ME,
OF ALL THE WONDERS IN THIS WORLD,
A LOVELY MELODY.

HE TOLD ME OF ALL THE  LOVELY FLOWERS
IN THE GARDEN THERE, AS THEY NOD AND SWAY
IN THE WARM SUMMERS AIR.

HOW I WISH THAT I HAD BEEN THERE TOO
TO SEE THE FLOWERS KISSED WITH DEW,
SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.
