You were always there, it seems
Family . . . A part of my life
Even when time was scarce
Being busy, as mother and wife
I knew that if I really needed you
I could count on you, to be there
Offering to help, or see me through
My every worry, and my every care
You were to me . . . A "Big Sister"
Silently, standing by. . . Observing
Watching over me, as I grew and matured
At times I suppose, It was unerving
Many years have passed us by
Some good, while others left scars
Family trials, causing many a sigh
Mixed with memories, shining like stars
There is a bond,thats been created
Over the years,between you and me
Family and friendship, quietly sated
A understanding, that will always be
I am glad, you've been in my life
We have many memories to share
Many good ones, and some of strife
And those, that bring a tear
I write this to you, letting you know
That after all is "Said and Done"
Everything about you is appreciated, so
And as "Sister-In-Law" you're number
