COME WALK WITH ME

COME WALK WITH ME

COME WALK WITH ME

Come walk with me down the beach
We will gather shells,  maybe find an oyster shell with a  pearl inside

See the puddles form as our toes sink in the damp sand
Waves rush in with greetings from distance lands

Sand crabs in their funny houses hurry about
I suppose we look as funny to them as they do to us

Do you want to  build a castle made of sand
a mighty fort with a moat

We can play and pretend we are children again
as we watch the gulls swoop in their flight for food thrown at them

Look there is seaweed we can weave it into a wreath of remembrance
Let's gather drift wood to make a fire to warm us tonight

Red and purple mixed with pink and orange colors the western sky
as the day bids the sun goodbye

We can lay on the blanket by our castle
watch as the tide come in

then rush back out to the sea again
Taking our hellos and love to another land

Oh the breath taking beauty of the sea and sky
Created with God's own tender hand

It makes my heart skip a beat
and brings a tear to my eye

The waves have stardust sprinkled about
Moonbeams are so close we can almost feel them with our hands

Come walk with me down the beach
We can hold hands and pretend we are children again
