Momentary Lapses

Momentary lapses… of who I really am
falling into anger oh to soon
blinded by temptation though never get to see
always left alone inside an empty room.
Momentary lapses… of who I wish to be
falling foul of people every day
looking out through their eyes I wonder what they see
every time this poet passed their way?
Momentary lapses… of all I have achieved
crying into darkened nights of fear
thinking of tomorrow… another day of sorrow
rains another multitude of tears.
Momentary lapses… of all this life could be
never feeling life just wastes away
never sad to waken and feel my life forsaken
for love be right beside me… everyday.
