Touched by a Single Red Rose
I was walking in the garden of my mind this morning;
Peaceful thoughts dominate, no need for a warning.
Cool summer breezes float through the greenery;
I sit on the bench in the center, drinking in the scenery.
A shard of golden sun pierces the canopy of trees;
Shining on a single flower, bringing me to my knees.
The sunbeam highlights the beauty of a single red rose;
My soul embraces this moment, my heart's love grows.
I am mesmerized by the simple beauty in my garden today;
As God has blessed my senses with a heavenly bouquet.
I think of love's gentle power, as poem I now compose;
My heart and soul was touched by a single red rose.
