Repentance from the Heart
Keep searching for the Lord,
Ensure not to be ignored;
Pray to Him while near,
Always being sincere.
A sinner tends to stray,
And must give up his way;
Returning to the Lord,
To be in one accord.
The Lord will pity him,
When he is feeling grim;
And willing to forgive,
So he can once more live.
But God will only bless,
If he will just confess;
Repenting with remorse,
As he changes his course.
His thoughts must be the same,
As the Lord does proclaim;
And one must clear his mind,
For to be realigned.
So there must be no doubt,
That the words which come out;
Being as God would say,
While he kneels to pray.
