Dusky eloquence envelopes your golden petals,
painful thorns rip through your velvety green skin,
deep verdant leaves tickle your nose,
gnarly brown branches reach for the sky,
your pitiful plea to become more,
yet still you lie in the dark umber
of the moist silent ground.
