Fathers Day
His role providing all your needs
Back then when child you of his seed
Would know and come to call him father
Loved by you and many others
You sat on lap upon wild horse
That bucked small child along a course
Going nowhere but you enjoyed
Once little girl, once you small boy
Daughter and son would know his love
Unlike you share and most know of
With soul mate yours, who plays their role
Husband now father and so it goes
The torch is passed as is the need
To begin and sow your seed
With wife you love who will provide
Your better half in her confide
Father mine once here now gone
Maintains a part with me his bond
Though short in life in death still is
Father to us, son once still his
I pray that those who still can share
Precious Moments with father theirs
Will spend this day before lifes page
Turns to the end for they too age
Happy Fathers Day to all!
