Father
It's such a sad day today
They tell me you are going away,
Your heart won't work anymore
You are going on a journey
You have never been on before,
As I sit here by your bed
I gently stroke your forehead,
I prayed and hoped you would open your eyes
I knew you were leaving deep down inside,
To see you lying there
Brings me to tears,
To take this journey alone
Has always been your biggest fear,
Father reach out your hand
You'll see your love so true,
Your lovely darling wife
Is waiting here for you,
She will take you on your journey
And guide you through the light,
Where you will be together forever
On this calm and peaceful night,
