The Power of Giving
Oh holy Lord, surely I'm no great helper to mankind,
Just one of many humble souls standing in line
with fleshly hands open so the wind of Thy spirit
will come and take Thy goodness
to the hungry…the poor…the blind
What is man that he should receive such goodness
out of the mercy of Thy grace?
Powerful light too high for angels…
hide his face,
Shouting, “Holy is the Lord God,”
Yet he holds such a one as I in his heart
that I should see good days
A glimpse of his goodness, I taste
He spoils the iris in my eyes
from the fruits of his hands
pouring out his skies
