An Envelope Lies
An envelope lies between
letters and cards
and carefully typed notes
that now have no use!
A book I once read
is covered in dust
with pages all turned
and yellowed with time!
The fashion has passed
but the fabric is soft
and special and sweet
and slim lined and nice!
I bend with a pain
and try to dismiss
all the meanings and smiles
attached to each bit!
