Sands Of Time
Deployed away from where he's missed
Soldier's picture by her is kissed
With prayers hers and those she knows
She asks, Dear God please make it so
Please return him safely home
In arms mine empty today alone
I pray you watch and see him through
His next mission second of two
This year will be my longest wait
For in the end we've set the date
To wed upon his safe return
Where him in heart, home fires burn
His call of duty I must respect
As soldier boy of mine expects
The best is yet to come for us
The day we wed in GOD to trust
My heart till then will skip but beat
As days become fifty two weeks
With bated breath holding our own
My love, boyfriend till he comes home
