Come and lie down with me
To talk at our leisure
With the laughter we share
Enjoying its sheer pleasure

Naked side by side
To enjoy so much
The excitement of
Thighs that touch
Contact
Nothing more
Unless both want
When we may explore

Not as we used to
When in another age
Passions would boil
Seethe and rage
But maybe now
Lying face to face
Enjoy our love
At a gentler pace

Or maybe we can lie here
Together at our leisure
Enjoying talk and laughter
For just its sheer pleasure
