Loving You, Loving Me

Martha, go, go to your trick.
Life is tricky.
Life is tricky.
Go to a boy and make love.
I'm trying to communicate
     with the salesman.
All that talks back to me is a television.
I hope you don't hurt your puritan values.
Are you successful in your chastity?
Go ahead--give virtue a new twist.
You have scanned the group
looking for a perfect lover, Martha.
You know I love you.
Oh, where will life end?
I muse about stuff like love.
Exciting.
It renews my zest for life.
People are inspiring in love.
What do you find distasteful, Martha?
Go, go and enjoy your trick.
You're so virtuous when you have to be.
There are some boys you
wouldn't give the time of day to.
I try to talk to the bus stop.
The stares are so cold.
I thought the big city was
a cornucopia of communication.
People, so reticent,
at times,
I lose faith in my fellow man.
But not you, Martha.
You keep right on loving them.
You thrive and expand your being.
I love Martha.
That young man has so much fun with you.
When we are in love, dear,
then I will know
that life is alright.
When such time as we are in love.
