The meanness of cities stings,
scars, and mars disguised as progress and wit.

Night is a perilous time
before morning,
when love is scarce like friendships,
suicide notes,
glass reflections and sunsets.
Bright eyes turn burnt.
Wage labor yields starvation.
Utopia!
Break-light blinking gridlock smog.
Democracy,
an exercise of free will!
