Souls Never Say Goodbye
Souls Never Say Goodbye
We must look upon this moment without regret
although with sorrow, tears, and loss we are beset
There are no roses without thorns
Let not your dear hearts be swayed, nor troubled by grief
Surely, that stalking shadow is a cunning thief
Light a candle for my beloved
Freely she travels with life's earthly burdens gone
Like breath before laughter's ease on a note of song
Her sweet fancy does not suffer
You are manifests of seeds sowed and harvest gained
Your way is made by sunlight despite heavy rains
I trust souls never say goodbye
There are no roses without thorns
Light a candle for my beloved
Her sweet fancy does not suffer
I trust souls never say goodbye
