No it is not like losing
A husband, a wife, mom and dad
It's a dream that has faded away
Some reading this may share this death
The obituary came in the mail
Although your poetry is good
It is not amongst those deemed the six best
Feelings go into our poetry
The encouragement to carry on
To live each day and wait for the mail
I enjoyed reading your poem
Although not all poetry do I understand
Simplicity the sun rises falls into the sea
Something so simple not understood
Words combined hours and days
She drops to fall in the fading haze
The pen of creation and I have parted ways
I gave my writing what I thought a real chance
But the ending comes from the heart an Editors lance
Fellow poets I hope for you the dream goes on
But amongst the final six I do not belong
