Somebody's Knocking
Chapter 41

Someone's Knocking

Somebody's knockin' should I let her in,
Lord it's the devil with her evil pen
I've heard about her but I never dreamed,
she'd have brown eyes and blue jeans

Well somebody's talkn', she's asking of me,
Your pen or my pen, well, which will it be
she's gittin stronger with each write she does
and I don't wanna get buzzed

She must have zapped my writing pen
she must have known my writte'n time is slim
She says we'll have one dueling night,
my pens a leaking', so she thinks the fight is won

Well you ole Buzzard
Once again I come to you
you seem to not like the South
but hide you can not do

 

Not a Poet you seem to claim
but this duel for the pen of gold
will bring out Uncle Ray
once this story is told.



When you take upon your knee
The little ones that call you PopPop
you tell them all how you lost the gold
and a little southern devil made you hophop....



So to your Buzzard's Nest
I'm lead to your front door
Come out my dear friend
and lets settle this score.
