Sir Ish
Once upon a time in heart
There lived a handsome knight
That shared with one all that he loved
Each day and lonely night
More like loving doves you flew
Across your Kingdoms skies
Alone you sit and think of him
In heart each night does cry
You miss his smile and too his laugh
In banquet hall you walked
Table for two with empty chair
Where once two souls would talk
You shared your dreams and many days
With him you called your love
Today though there's unhappiness
You still thank GOD above
For he awaits on silver clouds
For Princess his to come
To fix what no one can repair
Your heart that's been undone
God will know and set the date
For you to see again
This Knight in shining armor yours
Sir Ish, husband, best friend
So hold on to your memories
As he would want you to
To live until the day you come
To spark your love renewed
Dedicated to Doris Covington
Friend, Poet and Sir Ish's wife
My belated condolences
