The heart and mind's complex,
We feel sadness, pain and love,
It flits on by right past our hearts,
On the wings of a turtle dove!
But sometimes it's only a taste of the nectar,
A glimpse of what we won't really know,
Depending on what lies before us,
And on what way our lives will go.
Throughout our lives things will come and go,
And things will linger on…
But other things won't transpire,
And then the process of life is done.
So when we taste that nectar,
Hold on close don't let it go,
Hang on tight with all your might,
And you'll have memories, something to show!
Something to show it was real,
And something to remind you throughout you life,
That no matter the future ahead of us,
We can deal and lose the strife.
When the trials of love and life simply fail,
Its memories that hold us together,
So hold on tight, don't let go,
As you pass through the land of the ‘never, never!'
Hold on tight to that Nectar!
Life is too short you see…
Take this statement as fact,
Believe what you know and see!
To not have something and to live without it is bad enough!
To have tasted the nectar and lose it is awful, but worth it!
So for you, what is worse...?
Better to have loved and lost?
Or never to have never loved!
