Poetry For Everyday People

Air Inside A Blue Balloon

I needed it,
desperate for it,
like crayons
and blank dreams,

soft sounds,
foot steps
creeping, are rarely,
Santa Clause,

I wanna leave you
something,

wrap you up safe,
somehow, night is just
a place shy of color
or a place where color
shows off?

On a roof top, moon shining
down, two people,
leaning on each other,
the lake quiet, glistening,
listening,

they whisper something,

that no one will
ever know.
