Endless streets, endless signs,
Everyone rushes around the time;
Pictures of Glam Gals
Nothing is ever done by half's,
City laughing, city weeps.
This ole city never sleeps,
City laughing City weeps,
This ole city never sleeps;
Posies on a post ,flowers in the hedge
Stop this reckless driving,
The police they pledge
Pity the mother the husband that she has lost;
life ain't cheap it always comes at a cost;
City shouting City weeps
this ole city never sleeps
