House of Mourning
I live in a house of
Mourning, though no wreath
Of death is on my door
No fragrance of carnations, waif
Through the emptiness, melodies of
Peace, my ears do not caress
My parlor holds no casket
Nor am I dressed in black
Yet heartache fills each corner
I know your never coming back.
