Unlike Her
To each his own or so they say
To love as if was their last day
Would not begin, describe the feel
Of soul shattered when death does steal
They were friend and confidant
Much more in arms laying despondent
For time would come to say goodbye
To them our eyes would shed goodbye
Dormant they were as we stared down
On face now pale, as our eyes drowned
Hoping to see what once was part
The best of us would now depart
The years were kind when breath we drew
Two hearts once one would see us through
Times some good and bad in life
Yet best we'd say and not think twice
The rain falls down and hard it pounds
On body ours as sirens sound
From distance heard just by me
As she layed still so quietly
Our body cries for help this day
To come quickly as pain would slay
A soul in love kneeling would pray
To Heavens skies, please let her stay
Alone today our frame of mind
Begins a journey long and unkind
Just like the road where help would come
Too late to save our lives undone
