Petals In The Grass

Threadbare

I walk through the darkness unafraid
As the daylight slips and begins to fade
Unencumbered in this parade
No one left to serenade
All of my relationships rapidly decayed
My sporadic smile just a masquerade
Alone I travel on a purposless crusade
Ragged, threadbare, and oh so frayed
But I walk through the darkness unafraid
As the daylight slips and begins to fade
