 A Bliss Of Sweetness

I placed my hand in the candy jar,
To notice all the pretty colors of the wrappers,
Though there's only one that I'm searching for.
I grab a hand full… to try to choose that one,
But the empty cellophanes compel the one of my wanting to be hidden.
I finally witness the lonely piece of candy and I taste it.
I devour the sweetness of the sugar,
Yet bitterness generates upon its shell as I salivate it a little more.
My tongue sticks out in disgust,
As my face become annoyed by the horrid flavor I just encountered.
So I place my hand back inside the candy jar,
To find a sweeter piece of taste.
Once again I struggle with the full hand of candy,
As I pick one more out of my hand.
Ah sweet bliss.
Nothing more the sugary sensation that grasps tightly upon my tongue.
The candy dissolves quickly within my paradise,
But it grows to be too much to handle,
For the candy had disappeared from my grasp.
So I steal more within the depths of the jar,
To discover more of the same… ahhhhh pleasure…
I devour so many that the candy begins to believe that I've become delirious,
So they begin to wither to only a few.
My mind develops into frustration as I begin to lose control of my sanity,
As I begin to say on these words:
Oh don't leave the grasp of my tongue… don't leave me all alone…
I've found the one of my desire and I wish not to let go.
