We Won't Let You Down, Mr. / You Wont Let Me Down...
We won't let you down, Mr.
We'll pay you on time, we will!
That is providing of course,
I haven't got a very big bill!
I might have to pay you in instalments,
Spread the cost over a while,
Cos sometimes I'm just snowed under,
With bills mounting up in a pile!
We won't let you down, Mr,
We'll pay our rent every month to you,
But if we get short, or in a fix…!
It's the only thing I can do!
We won't let you down, Mr.
And you will get the lot,
It just might take a bit of time,
Cos I can only give out what I've got!
Go on, Mr. give us the flat,
Put a roof over our head,
We promise we won't let you down,
We need a place to rest our head!

You Won't Let Me Down, You Say!
You tell me you want let me down,
Yet you want to wreck the flat,
Well I am really sorry pal,
But I'm not having that!
You make promises too quickly,
And you don't mean what you say,
I've hear it all before you know,
And it's really not ok!
You'll pay on time, what a joke,
Tell me, how will you do that?
When most days you struggle…
To feed your poor little cat!
I've seen it rooting in the bins,
And roaming round the street,
Not a pretty sight at all…
It's not looking very neat!
You won't get in a fix you say,
Well let me tell you this…
Taking on tenants I have found,
Is really hit and miss!
Promises made, no promises given,
No caring of the heart…
All you do is moan away…
And with rent, you don't want to part!
So tell your tale to others laddie,
But don't spin your lies to me,
Just because I'm a landlord,
Doesn't mean I'm stupid you see!
