Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Glyptic
Abandoned thoroughly
In a vat of destruction,
Trying to paw myself
To the surface
Where the air is
Sweet and thick with sick.
Crying from fatigued eyes,
I'm swimming in
Too much emotion,
Many of which I am
Too inept to show.
I carve them on my outside,
To show people what is inside.
I got up from my
Bed of remorse,
Hoping to find a hug
Or a word of encouragement
Or two,
And was found only with
Manipulation and
Ugly eyes showing very little.
And by the way,
I tried my hand at
Manipulation
And it turned me raw,
A lesser form of
How I wanted to be.
It was wrong of me
To try on the shoes
Of others,
Just to step on someone's toes.
The fit was too tight.
I'm heartless,
Only in that
I care too much
When I shouldn't care at all.
I wanted to be
The special in your life.
All I was,
Was a stupid eyed girl,
Far from the gem you were looking for.
