 Julias' Poetry from the Heart

For Michael ( We Will Be There )

Michael, you asked the question
In one of your songs
"Even in my darkest hour"
"Will You Be There"

I can't stop thinking about you
Since you have been gone
As I sit back and watch
Your troubles continue on,

People spreading rumours making jokes and such
As reports begin to emerge
In newspapers and on T.V,

I keep thinking of your very own words
"Don't believe everything you see",

For years they have dogged you
Everywhere you would go
Why they taunted you so much
I will never know,

Why can't people focus?
On all the good you did do
Instead of constantly critising you,

They must have thought you had armour
To shield you from the pain
But all their harsh words
Struck your heart just the same,

When I would hear your laugh
It would brighten my day
Overtime they broke your heart
And took your smile away,

Well your fans have all been out here
Standing together to defend your name,
Like many years before your death
We love you just the same,

So in answer to your question
Even in moments of your despair
Even in your darkest hour
We will be there
