Without Rhyme Or Reason
To Find Him Gone...
It seems so strange to find him gone,
A faraway look in steel grey eyes,
Lips once warm,
Now thin and cruel,
Words spat and laced with angry cries.
Gone, yes ... gone,
Her love, her life,
Yet still so near,
His love, his wife,
Now thin and cruel,
Those lips once warm,
So strange, so strange,
To find him gone….
And skips a beat,
Her icy heart,
A glimpse of recognition there,
The steel grey eyes adorn a smile,
Hello, my love…
It's been a while…
Such moments few and far between,
Their daily lives a broken dream,
Yet still she tends him lovingly,
He once was King and she his Queen…..
