Natures song

I have now come down from the mountain's I travelled
after scaling the heights for so long
having now gazed on so many things of wonder
I could now hear of nature's sweet song.
Being lonely seemed never a real barrier
my passion kept out the cold…
but sometimes the constant bad weather
left me feeling so old.
But high on the peaks the sun warmed me
though storms raged further below
I promised myself never to look back…
but one day I'd look… I know.
Each day my knowledge grew deeper
and I started to understand more things
then one day the green valley below me
suddenly started to sing…
“come back come back to me lost one…
you have been gone from me for far too long
you have missed all the summers I brought you
you have missed the heart of my song”
I listened as the melody sung out for me
and the words went straight to my heart
I wanted to reach out and pull the music close
but the distance just kept us apart.
So i journeyed back down through ages and pain
and understood my part in life's plan
and as the valley came closer i felt so much stronger
I knew that I was now…. A MAN!
