'40's GIFT TO THE WORLD
In 1939 the Great Depression
Was still not quite yet dead,
But times were getting better--
That's what some often said.
Deep depression and hard times
Marked the '30's baby dearth,
But 1940 held happy promises
Of many a new child's birth.
Both pre-war and pre-boomer--
What a great American crew
Was born in the year 1940,
And one of the best is YOU!
For all those who were lucky enough to be born in 1940....
