 ***Bouquet Of Red Roses***

Roses R Red

Bouquet of Red Roses... used in poem 8/3/2009
My Love!!!

Not long ago, on a very special day,
You handed me a bouquet of red roses,
And asked me if I'll remain yours forever, my love.
As I poured water in a vase to quench their thirst,
Their artificial color turned into flowing red tears,
I held on tight, yet they vanished from sight,
Ti's not a lasting Mother Nature's flower you picked,
For her rainbow of colors do not fade this way.

Ti's not you I blame, for you need not feel the same,
I am like a busy bee in an open field of wild flowers,
And my passion's been to run wild and free,
Barefoot, feeling the fresh soil from the sun's heat,
Stopping only to pick flowers that beckon to me,
Then placing each in my soft, slender hands,
For each are special and gentle to the touch,
As are my feelings for you, my love.

Some day you will see me again... when, I cannot say,
I'll be the one swaying among bouquets of wild flowers,
You will then remember the time I spoke to you,
Of my elusive dreams and schemes I often wished for,
For I have found a field with many flowers to call my own,
Ti's there I've longed to be and there I shall forever be.
Bless your heart for loving me so by letting me go,
I'll be awaiting you in a place of eternal serenity.

For you are my one, and only, true Love!
