 The Real Seeker

Zaccheus was a chief tax collector
Wealthy and very short in stature
Yet he wanted to see Jesus for sure
Climbing a tree worth every measure

When the Savior passed that way
This is what he heard Jesus say
Zaccheus, you come down -- today
I am going to your house to stay

What a reaction from the crowd
Powerful testimony to those around
Faith in Jesus this man had found
Based on the following grounds

Changed by opening his heart's door
Gave half of possessions to the poor
Fourfold to all he defrauded before
Eternal reward in heaven forevermore

My friend, Jesus is the real seeker
More than knowing God as Creator
He deeply longs to be Your Savior
The church is His body of believers

What evidence is seen in your heart?
Faith in Jesus is the only place to start
Our actions alone cannot set us apart
But lifestyle change the Spirit imparts

Based on Luke 19:1-10

Luke 19:9-10 (ESV)
And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this
house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son
of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
