to punch out for the day. And go home
relax put your feet up. And not worry about
going back until Monday morning. I'm sure we can

Is It Friday Yet?

My alarm is going off.
I'm thinking,,,,what day is it today?
Is it Friday yet?
Naa,,no,,no way.

I turn on the light,
that's setting on my stand.
I'm rubbing out my eyes,
with my head clutched in my hands.
~~~
I'll grab a quick hot shower,
And maybe a piece of toast.
Now I'm off to punch the clock
I'll give it my ut-most.

Fighting through the traffic ,
I'm going a little berserk.
Cause I just now got cut off,
by a number one class jerk.

Now I'm here to punch the clock,
I've made it here on time.
I'll put in my eight hours,
just to make another dime.

For sure I'm feeling the heat,
with my boss here on my back.
Man it's been a hectic day,
please, give me some slack.

As the day comes to an end,
I'll be going out the door.
Tomorrows another day,
I'm ready for Friday,,,,for sure.

So' I'll grab some dinner,
maybe watch a little TV.
I'll make a few phone calls,
then maybe I will read.

It's time to go to bed now,
my days come to an end.
I'll not forget to set my alarm,
for tomorrows shift again.

Before I fall asleep,
I'll say a quick little prayer.
That God will give me patience.
To help me hang in there.
