 With head bowed low
With head bowed low she walked away
Never taking a thought to look back
Sad was the heart she bore in her
Like guts she often lacked

With eyes that stung from teardrops
A face sore, from the thawing snow
With head bowed down she walked away
With no place left to go

The past is fading fast and quick
And the future is on the wall
With head bowed low she walked away
For her life was no longer on stall

The baggage that has laden her
Was broken by that shabby rope
With head bowed low, she was free
To a future that was full of hope
