Song of Songs 5:2
I sleep, but my heart wakes:
it is the voice of my beloved that knocks,
saying, Open to me,
my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled:
for my head is filled with dew,
and my locks with the drops of the night.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
There is a knock at the door
Do you know who it is on the other side
Do you dare to step inside
Who is this man
Who speaks to me in visions, dreams, spirituality
Who is this man
Who speaks words to my heart that no one else can
He stands at the door of my heart and knocks
I hold the key of childlike faith that unlocks
All myth, rhyme, reason, and the unseen
All made known in truth and simplicity
Only the KING could weave such love complete
Draws me irresistibly with cords hidden in me
Love divine
I apologize
Took so much time
To hear Your knock above the clatter
I open to You
~ forsaking all else ~
for none of it matters
I open to You
Show me all TRUTH
To know the ONE who knocks
Is to beat the time constrained clocks
Eternity enters this heart of mine
As I open to His world outside
