Dear GOD
The many writes that play out here
From soul all yours today we fear
May be our last letter to
Father, implore to you I do
Life seemed good when once we ran
Wit the crowd, once called our band
Playing the gigs in clubs that wore
The sin of one, today who wars
Within ourselves a wounded soul
Calls out, Dear GOD! Do you behold?
Your child who tries to give to you
The best of us, who fall shorts too
Life seems worthless and fruitless
The days are long and so endless
Upon my heart where thorns grow in
Just one more wound of deadly sin
The lessons learned seem need review
Today confessed not serving you
Has brought full circle, this ring of fire
Today my Lord of life we've tired
Don't want to live at all
Today now weak are knees that fall
Before you who does call for me
This man who lives, no destiny
No suicide will get us there
Where many blessed, no pain they bare
For in your Kingdom there is peace
Unknown to one who lives deceased
Dear GOD.....
